I agree with some of this analysis but have one important question: How can one expect that the cost of installation will decrease with the cost of the panels? Thank you for any feedback.

I think the main place for misconceptions is in the translating of units of power and their price over time to some other form of energy equivalent, in other words having a clear picture of one sources costs of production from beginning to end related directly to another form of energy source from beginning to end through the price of power (Kw or Mw) at the entrance to the grid, so you will be able over time to see the real changes in price and not only at either the cell level or the price of fuel level but as a complete picture, i suppose its some kind of multi variant analysis, i dont really know as i am a layman

Tom McClintock (CA – 4th district) spoke contrary to your article today, on a telephone conference call. He’s under the impression that the cost of solar can not come close to the less expensive “natural resources”. We have to add to the equation the environment consciousness, and responsibility as stewards for the next generation. I thank you for your enlightening article.
